
Microsoft Halo Movie on Hold

A movie based on the epic video game, Halo has been put on hold according to a statement by Microsoft. This leaves many fans of the Halo Universe reeling wondering if the project will ever take flight.
Microsoft did not give any reasons for the postponement, saying only that: “At this time Microsoft, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh have mutually agreed to postpone making a feature film based on the Halo video game.”
The upcoming film is based on the video game series Halo. The film is slated to be directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson. According to movie database IMDB, the film was due to be released in 2008 but production was halted due to financing problems in October 2006.
The Halo universe currently spans three novels, two video games, and many more upcoming books and video games.
