Nicole Kidman is reportedly the highest paid actress according to the Hollywood Reportor’s 2006 list, despite being the recipient of only one Oscar during her career. 39 year old Kidman’s stated earnings are betwen $16 and $17 million per movie, and she had placed second in the list last year.

Julia Roberts had been the reigning leader in earnings for the last 5 consecutive years, but since taking some time off to establish a family her earnings have dwindled allowing for a new leader and resulting in Roberts not showing up on the list at all this year.

Coming in second this year for earnings is Reese Witherspoon, followed by Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, in that order.

Although this is an impressive accomplishment, it must still hurt a little bit next to ex Tom Cruise who earns around $25 million per film.
