In a comeback that nobody, make that everybody, saw coming, Rocky Balboa is returning to the screen.

Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as lovable underdog Rocky Balboa. This time the aged Rocky is brought back to fight a brash young upstart. An ESPN computer model says that the new champion wouldn’t measure up to Rocky and of course we have to find out if this is true.

The original Rocky was loved by all but the sequels became somewhat of a joke as he fought Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, a steroid pumped Russian and Tommy Gunn (Tommy Morrison). The premise became a little bit hard to swallow and the series fell from its original Oscar-winning grace. This film goes back to its roots.

The film takes us to many places the original did. We have the training scenes, Rocky eating raw eggs and pounding sides of beef. We have him at the top of the steps in Philadelphia with his fist raised.

In the end this is a film that works. We have a film that will (hopefully) end the franchise with dignity and go out the way it came in.

Marshall Bruce Mathers III, aka, Eminem, and his wife Kim Anne Scott Mathers have divorced less than a year after getting re-married. (Bare with me on this one, I may need a chalk board and time machine to explain this.)

The couple met around 1989 and had a troubled relationship as evidenced by many of Eminen’s songs. An oft repeated theme in his music is his relationship with his wife.

Eminem and Kim were first married in 1999 in Missouri.

In 2000, Eminem release “The Marchall Mathers LP” which contained the song “Kim.” On it he berates her for cheating on him and the song ends with Eminem cutting her throat. This song is supposedly a prequel to “97’ Bonnie & Clyde” in which Eminem disposes of the body of his wife with his little girl, Hallie, in the car.

Eminem peformed shows in which he simulated beating Kim, using a doll for a stand in. After seeing one such show Kim tried to commit suicide by slitting her wrists.

In August of 2000, Eminem filed for divorce. However, the couple tried to reconcile for the sake of their daughter. The reconciliation didn’t take and Kim filed for divorce in 2001.

A messy custody battle ensued but rumors started circulating that the couple had reconciled. On December 7th, 2005, Eminem announced that they were going to re-marry.

They wed again on January 14th, 2006 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. However the honeymoon was short. On April 5th there was a report of an eminent divorce for Eminem and his loving wife. The divorce was finalized on December 20th, 2006

Your Therapy:

Again, Wow. What can I say? Take two double doses of crazy mix them together and what do you get? This relationship.

So you get up and stage and show people how you want to beat your wife and then she tries to kill herself and then you file for divorce. Huh.

This story just goes to show you can take the white rapper out of the trailer park but you can’t take the trailer park out of the state of Michigan.

Tara Conner, this year’s Miss USA, has been allowed to keep her crown for now. The announcement was made today by Donald Trump.

Connor had been in hot water for frequenting bars even thought she is only 20.

According to Mr. Trump, he met with Connor on Tuesday morning, “She left a small town in Kentucky and she was telling me that she got caught up in the whirlwind of New York.” He continued, “It’s a story that has happened many times before to many women and many men who came to the Big Apple. They wanted their slice of the Big Apple and they found out it wasn’t so easy.”

Ms Connor tearfully thanked Mr. Trump for a second chance, “In no way did I think it would be possible for a second chance to be given to me.” She then turned to Trump and said “You’ll never know what this means to me, and I swear I will not let you down.”

Trump is apparently confident in Connor’s chances saying, “I think Tara is going to be the great comeback kid.”

Sometimes life is hard. Especially for a beautiful woman who’s appeared in music videos and major films, married rock stars and baseball players and hosted “America’s Funniest People.”

Tawney Kitaen has pleaded guilty to possessing 15 grams of cocaine. She has entered a drug treatment center and will be allowed to change her plea to not guilty after she has completed the treatment program. If she completes the program the drug conviction will be removed from her record.

Sheriff’s deputies apparently found the cocaine after searching Kitaen’s apartment. The deputies were at her apartment for a child welfare check. Kitaen had given the deputies permission to search the premises.

Tawney Kitaen has had her share of problems over the years. In 2001 she was arrested in Newport Beach, CA for vandalizing another woman’s vehicle.

In 2002 she was again arrested in Newport Beach this time for domestic abuse and battery for assaulting her husband, baseball player Chuck Finley, while the two were driving to their home. Mr. Finley promptly filed for divorce 3 days later.

Your Therapy:

Why is it that so many of the pretty ones are so very, very crazy? I remember watching Ms. Kitaen on “America’s Funniest People” and in the various ‘Hercules” movies and shows and thinking, “Wow, she’s pretty fine.” Now I also know she’s pretty crazy too.

It’s a shame how low Tawney has apparently fallen and we can only hope her time in rehab will give her the healing she so desperately needs.

If it doesn’t then there is always the porn industry. I hear there is a big market for what is referred to as the “MILF.”

One of the missing climbers on Mount Hood has been found dead in an ice cave on the mountain. The dead climber was identified as Kelly James, 48, of Dallas, Texas.

The gruesome find ends a week of hope and praying by the families of the climbers.

The other two climbers are speculated to have fell down a steep slope on the side of the mountain. Searchers are unable to search the side of mountain known as “the gullies” due to avalanche conditions in the area. However, the search will continue by air.

Authorities were able to zoom in on the area using cell phone signals from the distress call James made less than a week ago. There was also a rope laid out in a Y configuration which climbers often use to signal distress.

James’s body remains on the mountain overnight as conditions were too bad to move it.

The weather has been the biggest factor hampering the search for the climbers. Heavy snow had finally stopped as of Saturday but the wind continued to blow the fresh snow, severely limiting the visibility of searchers.

Terrell Owens, notorious for his bad behavior, is at it again. He allegedly spit in the face of DeAngelo Hall as the two men were walking back to the huddle.

Hall said of the incident “I lost all respect for the guy. That’s like the number one thing in the National Football League: You don’t spit in another grown man’s face. Hopefully the NFL can see it and go back and watch the film right before the first punt. On third down we were kind of walking face to face, walking back to the huddle, and he just hauled off and spit in my face.”

Owens admitted came clean and acknowledged that he in fact did spit in Hall’s face, “I got frustrated, and I apologize for that. It was a situation where he kept bugging me and getting in my face.”

Owens faces a possible fine by the NFL.

T.O. caught two touchdown passes in the Cowboys win over the Falcons on Sunday. Owens was told by doctors that he has the possibility of losing all motion in his right ring finger due to a tendon injury. Owens decided to continue playing despite the injury as the surgery to repair the finger would have ended his season.

It appears Mr Hall got all up in the face of T.O. I don’t think its right to spit on a man but when you’re dealing with a guy like T.O. who has a case of the crazies mixed with case of attitude you know something bad is bound to happen.

Even O is getting into the reality TV business. Reportedly Oprah’s production company, Harpo (Oprah spelled backwards) is working on two new shows for ABC.

The first “Oprah Winfrey’s The Big Give,” is a charity completion. Ten people are given money and resources which they must use to help others. The winner gets to realize a “wildest dream come true.”

The second “Your Money or Your Life,” focuses on families that are facing a crisis and must make changes to survive. Oprah will dispatch a team to give the family a life and money makeover.

Oprah will appear in at least one if not both of these shows.

ABC is obviously overjoyed at Oprah’s move into prime time. Harpo is very successful and has had recent luck in launching magazines, a satellite radio station and a broadway production of “The Color Purple.”

The big networks are facing a crisis of their own. I’m wondering if Oprah can give ABC a “Total Life and Money Makeover.” NBC recently announced they were cutting comedies and dramas in favor of reality shows and game shows in order to trim costs. It seems Oprah will help ABC with a similar strategy.

Prince William, second in line to the throne of Britain, graduated from Sandhurst military academy on Friday. Queen Elizabeth, William’s grandmother presided over the ceremony. Also in attendance was William’s long time girlfriend Kate Middleton. Her attendance fueled rumors of possible marriage plans.

The event was certainly welcome by the family as it took the spotlight off the death of Princess Diana less than decade ago. Diana’s death is still the subject of conspiracy theories around the world. Just Thursday a British police inquiry found that Diana was not a victim of a murder plot. Princess Dianna of course died in a course crash in Paris in 1997.

William will be a second lieutenant in the Household Cavalry’s Blues and Royals Regiment. His younger brother Harry is an officer in the same unit. William will serve in an armored reconnaissance unit.

Major General Roberts, Williams’s new commanding office said William will serve in Windsor. Roberts, when asked about whether William would serve in active combat said: “I don’t think it would be sensible to rule any of those things in or out.”

After a year in the army William will also spend time in the air force and navy in order to become familiar with their operations.
