Every Led Zeppelin song to be available online
October 16th, 2007
Led Zeppelin is suddenly giving fans “a whole lotta love”. Starting Nov. 13th, fans will be able to download the band’s entire catalog of music at online music stores. You can purchase full albums or singles.
The news comes as the legendary band prepares to kick off a one time comeback concert. Another facet of this marketing and PR lovefest, is the new 24-song, two-CD retrospective called “Mothership”. It spans their 12 year career and will include songs from all of the studio albums. Release date? You guessed it. Nov. 13th.
The band split up in 1980 after drummer John Bonham died the way many rockers live. Choking on his own vomit, after a drinking binge.
It’s great news for all fans, new or old. And fully bringing their music into the digital age will surely create new fans in large numbers. Some of us over the age of “Holy crap, I want to be thrity again” consider these songs part of the soundtrack of our lives.
