Lost Recap: The Beginning Of The End

The Beginning Of The End
The show that never disappoints once again kicked ass. It should have been a 2 hour premiere instead of one hour and the recap, but what are you gonna do?

I won’t ruin it for those who haven’t seen it yet. Click through for my thoughts on last nights Lost.

First off, I want to know how jack knew it was Hurley when the newscaster announced the year and make of the car. Hopefully that will be answered later.

We learn that the “Oceanic 6″ were apparently the only survivors, and we also learned that they whatever happened, they have some sort of terrible secret. I think they left some people on the island alive.

What I found most interesting bout last night’s episode that should carry over through the whole season, is this: In previous seasons we have been watching as the consequences of their actions brought them to the island. Now we are seeing the consequences of their rescue which was not supposed to happen.

When Hurley wandered up to Jacobs cabin and actually saw a form in the rocking chair, it revealed that Hurley was special. Not crazy. Perhaps more special then Locke.

It also seems pretty obvious from screencaps floating around the net that the form in that chair was none other then Christian Shepherd, Jack’s dad. It makes sense. Remember the empty coffin. I wonder if Jacob is going to reanimate a body or otherwise just use his form.

What was up with that Oceanic lawyer. Lawyer my ass. That guy was either an agent of the others or a manifestation of the island/black smoke.

Hurley is not nuts…We assume he is at first, but once you realize that his mental uncertainty began with seeing Charlie in the store it becomes obvious that he is not nuts.

I would love to know what Locke talked to Jacob about. “Jack is being bad. Make him stop.”

Well, there’s some of my random Lost thoughts regarding the episode. Feel free to comment with your own theories etc.
