LOST’s 4th Season Will Be 13 Episodes At Most!
February 13th, 2008

The man behind the curtain AKA Carlton Cuse is saying that the fourth season of the hit drama will be no more than 13 episodes this season, cut down from an order of 16 due to the writers’ strike expected to end today.
Eight episodes were scripted before the strike, with Cuse hoping to produce five more to air in the spring. It seems like they are going to end the season at the same story point they already intended, but will have to “condense” about eight episodes of plot into the season’s final five episodes.
This sounds like it could be disastrous, despite good intentions. I think many of us Lost fans would rather wait until next season, rather then having them butcher the show’s beautiful pacing and plot by squeezing stuff in so it fits.
