Amanda Overmyer voted off of American Idol

Tonight the American Idol season 7 crew is brought down to the final 10 that will go on tour as one more is voted off the show. As usual Ryan Seacrest singled out the three with the fewest votes and then announced the one leaving today.
| Carly Smithson was the first singled out as one of the bottom three and was clearly upset with the decision but didn’t seem all that surprised. It’s important to note getting tattoos for the American Idol doesn’t get you votes. |  |
| Kristy Lee Cook was our prediction of who would be going home this week and was the second one to be put on the stools in the bottom three. When Ryan made the announcement Kristy simply smiled and nodded in agreement as if she knew she was on her way out. Obviously she read PopTherpay.com yesterday so today wasn’t such a shock. |  |
| It looks like we weren’t the only ones that wanted to see Amanda Overmyer leave the show, or at least people wanted the others to stay more. Amanda is just a little too tough for our liking, and just doesn’t seem to ever open up and show any versatility. |  |
All three of these performers are really no surprise to be in the bottom three and this week it turned out that Amanda Overmyer as the one to go. We were a little off in our prediction of Kristy leaving, but as stated last week we’re more happy to see Amanda leave since Kristy is easier on the eyes for another week.

American Idol is all about the talent, and not about the tattoo, Carly shouldn’t be in the bottom three. Amanda Overmyer is such an eyesore and such stupid act of saying ballad is boring, is just like she said that other contestants who sang ballads are all boring! Kristy Lee Cook is pretty, i like her…=)

what on earth?? you guys are so narrow minded!! amanda is a janis joplin singer breed, which is rare and precious..but u guys, oh man, u guys have got no good taste in music nor voice.

I don’t think Amanda is too hard edged, but I think a lot of it was for show and she really isn’t as tough as she would like you to think.
Janis Joplin isn’t fake and didn’t have to die her hair and ride a Harley to convince you of what she is like.
Apparently most of America agreed that Amanda, although not bad, was worse than the other 11.
