Here’s some shocking and sad news. Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. It started with The Sun and The National Enquirer yesterday who reported that he couldn’t keep down solid foods and that he only has 5 weeks to live. TMZ reported later in the day that his publicist said that while the cancer is true, he is responding to treatment.

The actor’s doctor says that he’s “optimistic” about his prognosis, but the reality of course is that less than five percent of pancreatic cancer patients survive more than five years after diagnosis.
