Steven Spielberg Donates $100,000 To Support Gay MarriagePeople is reporting that Steven Spielberg is the latest high-profile donor giving money to fight California’s Proposition 8, the ballot initiative that would ban gay marriage in the state. He and his wife, Kate Capshaw, donated $100,000 to the No-on-8 campaign.

“By writing discrimination into our state constitution, Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each and every citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation. Such discrimination has NO place in California’s constitution, or any other,” the couple said in a statement.
