Indiana Jones Crystal Skull Projector
May 22nd, 2008

Indiana Jones Crystal Skull Projector
This inferior replica of the real thing looks like it had stitches and has had it’s skull elongated in back. Looks like lucite. Not nearly as attractive as the skulls Indy hunts for. It’s pretty crappy. Indy would not approve. It comes with a set of slides featuring famous archaeological sites and scenes from the Indiana Jones films that can be projected on a wall when inserted into the Skull. It will cost you $39.99.

Disney USB Memory From Buffalo
I don’t get the fascination with slapping Disney all over tech, but if you love Disney, these are for you. Here are six new USB “Mi”-keys from Buffalo, available in 2GB and 4GB versions. You have a choice between the RUF2-DCNR (2 GB) with four different Disney character designs, and the RUF2-DCNR2 (4 GB), the vintage Disney model.

Madonna Phones In Her Next Album
March 20th, 2008

Madonna Phones In Her Next Album
The material girl is turning 50 this year, yet somehow she still manages to keep herself and her fake british accent in the spotlight. Now she, like many others are turning to technology for marketing.

Seven tracks from her upcoming album, Hard Candy, will be available to Vodafone customers before it’s April 28 release. The tunes will not be free apparently, just early so some can have bragging rights.

To Madonna: You shouldn’t name your new album Hard Candy.

A)Hard Candy is for old people to put in dishes on top of doilies.
B)It makes it too easy for me to make jokes about how your new album sucks like Hard Candy.
C)What is that, a sexual reference?
D)I enjoy softer candy, preferably with a nuget center. Snickers is really awesome and it really does satisfy me.

iPhone/Touch Bookmark Icon for PopTherapy
February 6th, 2008

iPhone/Touch Bookmark Icon for PopTherapyWe had a little free time today around the offices at PopTherapy so we decided to spend it creating a custom icon just for the iPhone/Touch home screen.

If you’re an iPhone or iPod Touch owner with the the latest firmware and you are a fan of the Therapy, you can add our cool new icon to your menu screen for quick and convenient access to the finest in Pop Culture journalism.

When you navigate to PopTherapy.com on your iPhone, it should look for our icon in a file named apple-touch-icon.png in the root of our website. You can then save this page to the menu screen of your iPhone or iPod Touch and it will create the icon image for you. Make sure you have the latest firmware.

Lots of Orcs and Dwarves running around WoW
January 23rd, 2008

wow-masses.jpgIf you are one of the many throngs of Dwarves, Orcs or other fantasy creatures running around the online MMPORG World of Warcraft, you probably will notice at times it gets a little crowded. It’s not a mirage - there are a lot of you out there - 10 million+ to be precise.

That’s right - Blizzard Entertainment is now hosting 10 million+ subscribers worldwide (2 million+ Europe, 2.5 million+ North America, 5.5 million+ Asia). There’s no specific word on which race is most popular, but we are hoping for the Orcs ourselves.

And, by the way you Russian readers, worry not - a Russian language version of WoW is in development and set for release later this year. Something else to get you through those cold Siberian winters.

Huge Tetris Game Played On Building
December 12th, 2007

This is how the Gods play Tetris. They somehow used the lights of the building and programmed it all up professionally in order to play the game via a cell phone.

It’s called the Mikontalo Lights Project and was created by the students of Tampere University of Technology in Finland to gain global visibility for the university and highlight its rich student culture. Mission accomplished guys.

I would say we need an entire city block devoted to this kind of gaming on a massive scale.

The video is shaky because the guy filming it has the camera attached to his head. There’s another video of them playing Space Invaders after the jump.

i.Beat Pink Mp3 Player Endorsed by…Pink
December 12th, 2007

Pink Endorses Pink

If any of you girls are looking for a pink Nano alternative, than Trekstor’s i.Beat p!nk is right up your alley. It’s endorsed by Pink herself, as well as being pink…so bottom line, it won’t get any pinker then this.

The flash mp3 player comes in 1GB or 2GB capacities and has a touch sensitive interface. It can play MP3, WMA and DRMed WMA files, FM radio, it’s also got 8 equalizer settings, a slideshow function, a picture viewer for Jpegs and BMPs, a clock and calendar.

Well, no wonder Pink endorsed this this thing. It’s not just pink, it has alot of cool features. The i.Beat p!nk retails for $79.99 for the 1GB version. There’s also a black version, which Pink presumably does not endorse.
