According to the UK’s Telegraph, Academy Award-winner and elderly milf Cher is in talks to play Catwoman opposite Christian Bale in the third Batman film.

A studio executive reportedly said,

“Cher is Nolan’s (director) first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years. The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.”

The off again, on again superhero flick is on again. Variety is reporting that, now that the writers strike has been resolved, Warner Bros. is going ahead with its plans to make Justice League in time for a 2009 debut.

Warner tried to get the film into production earlier, but put it on hold in January, letting the cast options expire. At that time, the studio said it didn’t want to move ahead until the screenwriters had another shot at the script. Now it is being polished up.

Adam Brody has been cast as the Flash. Rapper Common is in the Green Lantern role, Armie Hammer Jr. is Batman and Megan Gale is Wonder Woman.

In theaters May 2008. The plot outline goes something like this: When Tony Stark is forced to create a life support suit to keep him alive after an accident he decides to use the technology in his suit to fight crime.

When I first heard about Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role, I was somewhat concerned. After all, we all know how easy it is to make bad Superhero movies with good intentions. However, judging by the looks of the trailer, he seems perfect for the role.

This should be a good one. Though, I always have to wonder with these movies…who Stan Lee is going to show up as this time in his cameo role?

Forget about Kirsten Dunst in the movies. Spiderman has been married to the Character of Mary Jane for almost 21 years now.

That’s why the comic book world is in an uproar over Marvel Comics’ decision to undo their marriage. I mean, let’s face it, Hollywood marriages come and go, but Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson used to be something you could bank on.

In Amazing Spider-Man #545 last week, Peter and MJ make a deal with the devil-like character Mephisto: In exchange for saving Aunt May’s life, Mephisto erases all traces of the Peter-Mary Jane marriage from memory.

Sure, it’s a tough choice, but Aunt May had a good life. Keep your hot wife.

In the issue out this week, Peter Parker returns to his roots - young, nerdy and single. Aunt May is alive and well and Mary Jane is again just part of the cast. The marriage never happened. Nice move Marvel. Geeks everywhere feel like they are the child in a divorce and refuse to emerge from their mother’s basements.

“We knew it would be a very controversial thing to do,” says Joe Quesada, Marvel’s editor in chief, who believed so much in the project that he drew the crucial issues himself. “Looking into the future, this is really the right thing to do for the long-term health of the character.”

Only time will tell. And you might say that this move is only art imitating life, as marriage is not the sacred institution it once was, deal or no deal with Mephisto.

Looks like they’ve finally found their woman for the upcoming Justice League Of America movie. For awhile it was rumored that they were looking at Jessica Biel and Sophia Bush. In the end an unknown won the role.

An Australian model named Megan Gale. She stands at 5′10″ and absolutely looks the part. Can she act? I don’t know, but looking at that picture, I can’t wait to watch her try.
