Atari 2600 Games I Kind Of Remember

Atari 2600 Games I Kind Of Remember
Check out this great post from the people at Mightygodking.com who claimed to have found a genuine working Atari 2600 at a garage sale, complete with a huge stack of classic games. In reality, it’s a huge post of classic video game artwork that’s been updated with titles and descriptions that more accurately reflect what’s being depicted on the cover. I mean really, how did the artist come up with those over-the-top covers when the games barely featured a few pixelated sprites? It’s pretty amusing.

Super Mario Galaxy Wii Mod

Cool Mario Wii Mod
Mario Galaxy fans will love this lighted Wii mod. It’s got a bunch of LED lights, 59 to be exact, illuminating the Mario Galaxy logo, while others flicker on and off like stars. It’s also got Mario figures on either side.

It was being sold on Ebay and all proceeds would have gone to the Penny Arcade charity, Child’s Play. But it appears that those douche guzzling Nazis at Ebay have taken the auction down.

Super Nintendo Papercraft Is Tiny, Portable
April 10th, 2008

Super Nintendo papercraftCheck out this tiny Super Nintendo papercraft console. It was created by Chilean papercrafter ryo007, and even has a pair of even smaller controllers AND a set of game cartridges. If you want to make one yourself, ryo has the cut-out diagrams on DeviantArt.

ryo is obviously a master Jedi of papercraft. I salute you, fellow geek.

I tried to make one of these one time and it ended in a bloody mess of paper cuts. So when my neighbor saw me working with scissors with a blood stained shirt, he was nice enough to make a phone call. The cops busted in the door and questioned my sanity when they saw the project. When they saw all my magazines with the letters cut out and my wall devoted to Princess Peach porn and Paris Hilton, they had a few questions for me.

Real Guitars Made From Video Game Consoles
Every geek I know has a broken console or two lying around. Every geek I know also thinks he can play guitar. And maybe they can, but I’ll still kick their sorry asses in Smash Bros. Why not build a real working guitar using some of your old consoles, like these guys did? How about a Dreamcast guitar or one made out of a Nintendo Famicom?

Check out some cool images below.
