Okay fellow geeks, it’s time to get your Halloween costume ready in May. Here’s the helmet. You are on your own with the rest of the armor. It’s officially licensed by Marvel Comics. It’s available at www.80stees.com for $60 but too bad it’s out of stock.
Next month the Iron Man movie comes out. Just in time comes this one-of-a-kind, custom-modded Iron Man action figure from Jin Saotome. Painted to resemble Tony Stark after a serious bender, and based on a Marvel Movie Legends Iron Man figure, the alcohol-poisoned hero doesn’t look so good.
It comes with several miniature beer cans and a mini bottle of Bacardi. Painted in all the hues of vomit, the green, yellow, and orange figure is up for auction on eBay and is currently at $102.50.
This Steampunk Iron Man action figure makes me want to see a movie starring this version of the armor. How cool would it be to see Tony Stark in this suit in Victorian England? This action figure is so amazing cool, I can feel it kicking my ass!
I hope Action figure manufacturers are paying attention. This is the kind of cool stuff geeks want!
Check out the trailer for the new Iron Man movie, complete with over the top Black Sabbath Iron Man theme.
In theaters May 2008. The plot outline goes something like this: When Tony Stark is forced to create a life support suit to keep him alive after an accident he decides to use the technology in his suit to fight crime.
When I first heard about Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role, I was somewhat concerned. After all, we all know how easy it is to make bad Superhero movies with good intentions. However, judging by the looks of the trailer, he seems perfect for the role.
This should be a good one. Though, I always have to wonder with these movies…who Stan Lee is going to show up as this time in his cameo role?
