Eidos, the maker of the Tomb Raider games, may save the company by letting Lara Croft get naked in the game. The company is in trouble financially, and a post on a Tomb Raider site by what is believed to be the company’s creative director Eric Lindstrom says the game’s “Teen” rating isn’t necessarily going to stick in the future, implying that an NC-17 rating could be where the game is headed.

That isn’t gonna help. Let me tell you something about this shit game series. It has been shit ever since the second game. I recently picked up Tomb Raider Underworld and the number of glitches in the game were horrendous.

Get this. I’m riding along on the cycle, when all of the sudden, the cycle moves forward and leaves Lara sitting in mid-fucking air. Fuck that shit. I had to unplug the Wii just to restart the fucker. And I lost all my progress. And that’s just one of MANY glitches. How bout some quality control bitches.

And for $35 that game is short as hell.

Meet UK gymnast Alison Carroll. She’s just been announced as the new face of Lara Croft since Angelina Jolie is busy pushing out babies. The Telegraph reports:

But Carroll has not landed a movie role – instead she will promote the new Tomb Raider video game, Underworld, which is released in November. Nell McAndrew found fame as the first Lara Croft model in the 1990s. Carroll will star in TV adverts and travel the world to meet Lara Croft fans.
Winning the role of Lara means Carroll can quit her job as a receptionist.
“This is a fantastic opportuntiy and I am really looking forward to embracing Lara’s world,” she said. “I still can’t believe they chose me to take on the role of Lara – and I can’t wait to get stuck in. This is my dream job. I have always wanted to be an action hero and hope to be able to use my gymnastic ability to perform all of Lara’s stunts.”
