Mega Man 2 Bubble Man Room
May 29th, 2008

Mega Man room
This is obviously the bedroom of a Mega Man fan who painted it to look like Bubble Man’s level from Mega Man 2. How awesome is that? If you were Mega Man trapped in this room, you could play the whole damn level.

The guy who did it is a Mega Man freak who not only paints his walls, he does covers of Mega Man songs. Here is his Myspace page.

If you love Mega Man so much why don’t you marry him? Get a room already. Oh…that’s right he did.

Kid Icarus Coming To Wii?
May 12th, 2008

Kid Icarus Coming To Wii?
Kid Icarus is one of the coolest games ever made. If you’ve never played it you never had an NES. Pit is an angel who has been trapped in the Underworld. He’s given a magical bow by Palutena, Goddess of Light, to help destroy Medusa, Goddess of Darkness, and restore peace to the world. Pit is awesome.

There are rumors that Kid Icarus is going to be revived.

The artwork we’ve published comes from a pitch document we got our hands on in the early part of 2008. Since then, sources have told us the game’s artwork has advanced considerably. Despite this artwork not being reflective of the game’s current standing, we’ve decided to share it so fans can get a look at what Factor 5 has experimented with.

The last nugget of information we have to share with you is in regards to the game’s plot. At the time of the document’s writing, Factor 5 had imagined a plot starring a grown-up, adult Pit, who is “cursed for thousands of years for a crime and becomes a ‘fallen angel.’” The pitch adds that “a tattoo on Pit’s arm bears the inscription of Pit’s crime.”

NES Coffee Table
I think my dreams have just come true. A cute girl playing games on a huge ass NES controller? Why does this never happen at my house? The NES Coffee Table can actually be used as a controller during game play, and it also provides excellent space for storing away all of your gaming gear.

Lamp Made From Old-School Nintendo Zapper
May 5th, 2008

Lamp Made From Old-School Nintendo Zapper
I was never much of a Duck Hunt fan. That damn dog just laughed at me whenever I missed a shot. But anything Nintendo that is also a lamp is all good in my book. Here’s a qoute from the Nintendo Goddess who made it:

“A regular cartridge was too small a base, so I measured one and made a 1.5 scale replica out of cardboard, and screwed the gun to it. I weighted it with stones, and then tackled the shade.

I picked up a $2 shade at the re-store, a pack of fun foam, and voila! After hours and hours of cutting pixellated shapes, I was done! A little dab of glue to secure the shade, and… ta dah!”

Girls devoting their time and energy to all things Nintendo please me… She’s welcome here at PopTherapy anytime. Maybe we can make a Mega-man lamp together, then hump to an NES game theme.

It’s a dream of mine.

This Corolla’s engine block has a cover that looks like a NES controller. I’m not sure if it’s cool or not. On one hand, it is a NES controller on a car engine. On the other, no one will see the thing.

HarmoNESica: Old NES Cart Becomes A Harmonica
March 17th, 2008

HarmoNESica
Anyone who has ever had to give NES blowjobs(that’s what I’m calling it) to cartridges in order to play them, will be able to appreciate this.

You know, NES blowjobs…On the old NES system, the cartridge contacts would get dirty and you used to have to take it out of the machine and blow the excess dirt out, then stick it back in. Sometimes the game would play, sometimes it wouldn’t.

So, anyway, this guy actually made an old NES cartridge into a Harmonica. So, now he blows into it for fun. Video below.

NES Controller Pillowcases

NES Controller Pillowcases
Do androids dream of electric sheep? I have no idea, but if you put your head on one of these awesome pillows, you will be whisked away to Mario land…Or maybe Zelda.

Frankly I’m not sure Nintendo land is all it’s cracked up to be. I mean you gotta feed and walk Yoshi, Princess Peach is pretty high maintenance, Bowser is always after your ass and your brother Luigi owes you like $3000.

Anyway, this baby was designed by Penguinotic. They are giant NES controller pillowcases and are perfect for anyone who grew up with Nintendo’s classic 8-bit console. Each pillowcase is stitched from machine washable super-soft fleece, which is warm and cozy.

It will cost you about $40, while a pair is $70. They will fit most standard pillows, but she will do custom sizes.
