Kid Icarus is one of the coolest games ever made. If you’ve never played it you never had an NES. Pit is an angel who has been trapped in the Underworld. He’s given a magical bow by Palutena, Goddess of Light, to help destroy Medusa, Goddess of Darkness, and restore peace to the world. Pit is awesome.

There are rumors that Kid Icarus is going to be revived.

The artwork we’ve published comes from a pitch document we got our hands on in the early part of 2008. Since then, sources have told us the game’s artwork has advanced considerably. Despite this artwork not being reflective of the game’s current standing, we’ve decided to share it so fans can get a look at what Factor 5 has experimented with.

The last nugget of information we have to share with you is in regards to the game’s plot. At the time of the document’s writing, Factor 5 had imagined a plot starring a grown-up, adult Pit, who is “cursed for thousands of years for a crime and becomes a ‘fallen angel.’” The pitch adds that “a tattoo on Pit’s arm bears the inscription of Pit’s crime.”

I think my dreams have just come true. A cute girl playing games on a huge ass NES controller? Why does this never happen at my house? The NES Coffee Table can actually be used as a controller during game play, and it also provides excellent space for storing away all of your gaming gear.

I was never much of a Duck Hunt fan. That damn dog just laughed at me whenever I missed a shot. But anything Nintendo that is also a lamp is all good in my book. Here’s a qoute from the Nintendo Goddess who made it:

Another day, another Mario cake. This one is just bursting out of the cake and his face is kinda strange looking, like they have plastic surgery in Mario Land now.

Kinda reminds me of that farm girl/stripper I hired to jump out of a cake and celebrate the fact that today is Friday. She was also wearing overalls and is gonna end up with a mushroom in her hand too.

This Corolla’s engine block has a cover that looks like a NES controller. I’m not sure if it’s cool or not. On one hand, it is a NES controller on a car engine. On the other, no one will see the thing.

Mario Galaxy fans will love this lighted Wii mod. It’s got a bunch of LED lights, 59 to be exact, illuminating the Mario Galaxy logo, while others flicker on and off like stars. It’s also got Mario figures on either side.

It was being sold on Ebay and all proceeds would have gone to the Penny Arcade charity, Child’s Play. But it appears that those douche guzzling Nazis at Ebay have taken the auction down.

How about stomping some Goombas with these babies? They ended for $255 on Ebay. The pictures are of a pair that the seller made for a friend, but the winner of the auction got to another pair painted in any size, and with any custom touches they wanted.

Nintendo announced that we can expect another Mario game soon in the form of Mario Super Sluggers. It should be a cross between the Wii sports version of Baseball and Mario Superstar Baseball. Not much other info at the moment, but expect Bowser to suck playing outfield.
