LEGO Indiana Jones Videogame Will Be Nazi-Free
February 11th, 2008

LEGO Indiana Jones Videogame Will Be Nazi-Free
WTF? I don’t know about you, but I prefer Nazi’s in my Indy adventures. I want it filled to the brim with Nazis. Not because I don’t hate them, I do. That’s the point! They are a part of the world Indy lives in, and a part of world history. But the Politically Correct want to ignore all of the bad things in the world and pretend that Indy runs around collecting flowers and butterflies.

According to Computer & Videogames reading of EDGE magazine, the LEGO Indiana Jones games will also be sans swastika, just like the LEGO sets.

Developer Traveller’s Tales says that LEGO has replaced the Nazis with “an anonymous genocidal, occultist, trenchcoat-wearing master-race.”

WTF? That’s jut weird. What are they a race of Trech coated flashers bent on world domination?

The geek in me is sad…

Indy Movie LEGO Sets Offer Exclusive Peek Into Crystal Skull
January 30th, 2008

Indiana Jones
Gizmodo got their hands on some official high resolution shots, prices and descriptions of the new LEGO diorama sets for Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. They offer an exclusive look into the most-awaited movie of the year.

While the Legos are not Earth shattering, they do give away some of the film’s plot. Hopefully there’s more to it then what these Lego sets show us. Now I’m uncertain whether this will be a great Indy film. But I can say that I would like to watch a Lego version of Raiders after seeing these.

Indiana Jones To Battle Aliens?
January 3rd, 2008

Indiana Jones To Battle Aliens?

Spielberg and Lucas sort of confirm rumors that Harrison Ford will battle creatures from another world in the next installment of the series, in a new Vanity Fair interview.

“I wanted … the idea that Harrison would be 20 years older,” says Lucas. “So that put it in the mid-50s … I looked around and I said, ‘Well, maybe we shouldn’t do a ’30s serial, because now we’re in the ’50s. What is the same kind of cheesy-entertainment action movie, what was the secret B movie, of the ’50s?’’ So instead of doing a 30s Republic serial, we’re doing a B science-fiction movie from the ’50s. The ones I’m talking about are, like, ‘The Creature from the Black Lagoon,’ ‘The Blob,’ ‘The Thing.’”

Spielberg also talks about the fact that he was leaning towards a different script than Lucas.

“I quite liked Frank (Darabont’s) script, but George and I had a disagreement over it, and George and I have always agreed to agree. So when we take each other’s temperatures, if I really am passionate about something, George will give in to me, and if George is really passionate about something, I’ll pretty much go his way. And in this case George was passionate that this was not the story he wanted to tell at this point in the Indiana Jones saga. And I think it’s a wonderful script.”

“Crystal Skull” will open on May 22 worldwide and also stars Cate Blanchett, and Karen Allen who reprises her role as Marion Ravenwood.

Some will argue that the whole alien thing is crap. I think it will be good. My own opinion of Spielberg and Lucas is that they have made sub-par movies for too many years now. But since they have always managed to keep THIS series quality, I’m gonna trust them for now.

It better not suck!

Aliens and Indy. Yay oy Nay?

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Poster
December 11th, 2007

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Here’s the movie poster for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. You can’t help being filled with Nostalgia just looking at it. It’s done in the same painted style of the original movie. If the movie is half as good as this poster, many fan boys will be leaving the theater with wet pants.

I often get on Spielberg’s case for not making good movies anymore. Same thing with Lucas. But seeing as how they have always treated the Indy movies with a certain reverence, I’m hoping for a good flick.

Besides it would be a welcome change, watching Harrison Ford do something other then moon over Ally McBeal.

Never steal from Indiana Jones
October 5th, 2007

indiana jones kingdom and the crystal skull
After the week that “Indiana Jones” creator Steven Spielberg has had we here at PopTherapy would like to offer our counseling services to him. It certainly sounds like he needs to see a shrink.

First was the incident where a young and dumb extra blabbed to the press about what he saw while playing a Russian soldier, things like who the villain of the movie is (hello Cate Blanchett!) and what she does to get Indy to talk about where he hid a crystal skull. Spielberg’s representatives came down so hard on the loudmouthed extra that he settled with them out of court this week. Then followed another horrible experience as a thief stole thousands of documents, photographs and even the script for the fourth Indiana Jones movie, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, right out of the Los Angeles offices where Steven works! To add insult to injury the thief then tried to sell all of the sensitive Indy material to unscrupulous websites (PopTherapy was not one of them and for that we’re hurt) only to find himself caught by L.A. police posing as undercover webmasters. Charges were filed against Roderick Davis, 37, which he promptly denied ever doing. Sure Roderick, all these photos of Harrison Ford wearing a fedora were accidentally put in with your pick-up order from One Hour Photo, right? It must happen all the time.

Davis is out on a $100,000 bail bond and could face up to four years in prison if convicted. On the bright side he would be getting out right about when the latest Indiana Jones movie would be playing on television.

Give us a call soon Steven, we can help you!
